Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Austin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I took my 2010 Silverado in for what I assumed was a Transmission issue. Tim and Brian let me know that it was something altogether unrelated. While I still had an issue, it was a less expensive and complex one to deal with. I truly appreciate their honesty and knowledge. Ill definitely keep Eagle Transmission in mind if needed in the future.

I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe with 191k+ miles. I assumed that doing a transmission fluid flush and replace may be a good idea. Tim recommended to not replace the fluid on an older car that was operating correctly. I took his advice and did a fluid check at my house. The level was perfect and the fliud was clean. If you are looking for an smart and honest opinion for your auto transmission, then this is the shop to contact!!

Our car (Lexus, 19 yo, 180,000 miles) started having transmission issues, so we took it to the dealer. The dealer analyzed the OBD results and found 2 codes related to the transmission and suggested we replace the transmission. We took the car to Eagle Transmission to get a second opinion, hoping there might be a solution that would be economically viable for an older car with a lot of miles. Tim ran diagnostics on the transmission and also concluded that the old transmission could not be repaired. Tim explained the diagnosis in terms we could understand and discussed the economic decision making regarding the cost of a replacement transmission for an older, high mileage car. We elected not to replace the transmission, but were very grateful for Tim's help, and we will take our other vehicles to Eagle Transmission for transmission fluid and filter changes in the future.

I believe I spoke with Tim, who seems like an honest and knowledgeable guy. I took my truck to Eagle Transmission for a second opinion, and they not only knew what the problem was, they knew what had already been going on that I thought I had fixed. I expected for them to have it a few days, but they were done in less than two. My truck is back in action and driving well. I canβt say enough positive about these folks, and I will definitely trust my vehicles with them going forward.

Eagle transmission is now my first choice for transmission work. They had a lot of work when I brought my 89 crown vic in for service. I dropped it off with Tim around noon and had the car back around 4pm. The experience was an absolute pleasure and the service was the most trust worthy I have felt in austin for a very long time. This type of family business is becoming difficult to find and I will never go any where else. Even if my problems are not transmission related I will be giving Tim a call for recommendations.
